Viet Nam: Country Operations Business Plan (2016-2018)

The Country Operations Business Plan (COBP), 2016–2018 of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Viet Nam is consistent with the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS), 2012–2015; takes into account initial indications of the priorities to be included in the country’s Socio-Economic Development Plan, 2016–2020; and reflects the sharpening ADB operational focus identified under ADB’s Midterm Review of Strategy 2020.

Cambodia: Country Operations Business Plan (2016-2018)

The 2014 Cambodia country diagnostic study identified five critical constraints to be addressed to encourage more inclusive growth. These include education and training; power supply in rural areas; roads, ports, and waterways; governance; and health services, water, and sanitation, especially outside Phnom Penh.

Fiji: Country Operations Business Plan (2016–2018)

The country operations business plan 2016–2018 for Fiji is aligned with the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) country partnership strategy (CPS) 2014–2018, the Interim Pacific Approach 2015, and ADB’s Midterm Review of Strategy 2020. The CPS focuses on three interlinked priorities of (i) raising Fiji’s longer-term growth potential; (ii) building resilience and reducing vulnerability; and (iii) reducing poverty through more inclusive growth and better service delivery. The CPS marked ADB’s full re-engagement with Fiji following elections in September 2014.

Azerbaijan: Country Operations Business Plan (2016–2018)

The country operations business plan (COBP), 2016–2018 is consistent with the country partnership strategy (CPS), 2014–2018. It is also closely aligned with the Government of Azerbaijan’s Azerbaijan 2020 document, which envisages accelerated economic diversification, rapid non-oil economic growth, increased competitiveness, and expanded export opportunities.

Vanuatu: Country Operations Business Plan (2016-2018)

The country operations business plan (COBP), 2016–2018 for Vanuatu is consistent with the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB’s) Interim Pacific Approach, 2015, which extends the validity of the Pacific Approach, 2010–2014, and with the Midterm Review of Strategy 2020. It is also aligned with the goals and objectives of the government’s Priorities and Action Agenda, 2006–2015, as well as Vanuatu’s infrastructure strategic investment plan and national energy road map.

Afghanistan: Country Operations Business Plan (2016–2018)

The country operations business plan (COBP), 2016–2018 is aligned with the priorities set by the country partnership strategy (CPS), 2009–2013, and extended by the interim CPS, 2014–2015 for Afghanistan. These documents prioritized investment in infrastructure including energy, transportation, and agriculture and natural resources. The COBP 2016–2018 is consistent with these priorities, and will promote inclusive economic growth, regional integration, governance, and capacity development.
